All of our lessons within our Swimming Courses are taught in accordance with the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) or Swim England techniques and we follow their Awards programme.
Children up to 2 years of age will follow the Starfish Award and children over 2 years of age will follow the Stanley Award. Swimtots Academy will start on Stanley and will soon progress to the International Learn to Swim program (Academy). Each Award programme has a system of badges and these will be awarded as you and your child reach that milestone.
As I have said, I am passionate about swimming and feel that every child should have the opportunity to learn this very important skill in a fun and safe environment. If your question is not answered on the site, please get in touch with us to discuss your question.
“Swimtots is dedicated to educating infants and their parents/guardians, regardless of ability, in ways to safely enjoy the aquatic environment, for life.”
Each child will be assessed at the end of course whether they are ready to move to the next stage. Because every child develops at their own pace it may not always be in the best interest of the child to progress to the next stage.
